Sample writeupBuilding NZ's first AI-enabled industrial distributor.
Asmuss Group operates 15+ warehouses distributing steel and flow control products across New Zealand. We designed and shipped the agent layer that runs across their inventory, sales, and customer ops, plus the dashboard their leadership uses to operate it.

The challenge
Asmuss had grown through acquisition and ended up with overlapping systems across 15 warehouses, each with its own quirks. Quoting was slow, stock visibility was patchy, and customer ops required cross-checking three tools to answer a single question. They needed something that worked across the whole network, not another tool to add to it.
The approach
Identify. Build. Adopt.
Identify
Six-week diagnostic across operations, sales, and IT leadership. We mapped 24 workflows and ranked the top 6 by ROI × feasibility. Three made the build list. The other three were either too high-risk or solvable with process, not AI.
Build
Three production systems: (1) a sales-side agent that quotes against live inventory across all 15 warehouses, (2) a customer support agent that answers SKU, lead-time, and order-status questions from a unified knowledge layer, (3) an internal ops dashboard built in Next.js that lets the leadership team see the agents working in real time.
Adopt
Phased rollout. Sales agents first (week 8), customer agents in two warehouses (week 11), then network-wide (week 14). The dashboard launched alongside customer rollout so leadership had eyes on adoption from day one.
Outcomes
What changed, measurably.
Orelyn quickly understood our complex distribution workflows and shipped solutions that integrated cleanly with what we already had. We're already seeing measurable gains across the network.
